Welcome to Lewright Meats, a family business that was built in 1936 by our grandfather, H. L. Lewright, Sr., in Eagle Grove, Iowa. The beginning of the business was the involved with custom processing for beef and pork farmers. In 1963, his son, H. L. Jr., came into the business with him, and they began further developing their smoking and sausage making techniques.

In 1981, a son-in-law, Paul, joined the company and began developing the retail and wholesale aspect, using the old recipes and techniques of the past years. The high priority on quality meats has been upheld throughout the years, including the unique blends of spices, smoking techniques, and careful processing of all products.

Processing & Smoked Techniques
All quality meats are produced by using the best "Old Fashioned Way," combined with using the best of the "Modern Day Procedures," in our processing, curing and smoked techniques. All of our meats come from local corn-fed animals that are hand picked from our great local beef and pork producers here in Central Iowa.

Our special flavor comes from the fact that we still cook and smoke our products over actual burning hickory logs. Also, none of our products have water added, so the full flavor of the meat is there to enjoy. Pride and time produce the promise of quality.

Lewright Meats & Deli
The retail store and deli in Eagle Grove features a great atmosphere decorated as an old country general store. Besides the antiques, enjoy our friendly country service as we do our best to find what you are looking for. Our deli features our smoked meats on a variety of sandwiches. We also serve homemade salads, soups and desserts. All meat products can be purchased in our store -- from smoked products to fresh cuts of beef and pork -- cut to your specifications.
